The most common cause of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is from a repetitive motion of the wrist. Most typically the motion occurs while the angle of the wrist if either out of neutral position, either in flexion or extension.
The median nerve runs through eight bones in the wrist call carpal bone. They form a semi lunar tunne in which the nerve and tendons of the hand pass.
Repetative finger and hand movement cause irritaiton of the median nerve which causes Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which includes symptoms such as wrist pain, burning tingling or numbness in the hand.
How Chiropractic Relieves Carpal Tunnel
Chiropractic joint mobilization is the process of relieving nerve pressure and irritation due to bony compression.
There are three areas of joint pressure which we as chiropractors look to relieve the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel and they are the neck, the elbow and the wrist.
Compression of the nerves in any of these areas will produce the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Therapy to Relieve Carpal Tunnel
